“Everything begins with observation. Nature, cinema, everyday gestures, and unexpected forms spark ideas that I seek to translate into objects. Photography, music, graphic design, and art also inform the way I see, through their approaches to composition, light, and the creation of atmospheres.

Cinema is incredible... I’m fascinated by an image’s ability to evoke fear, joy, relief, or sadness. I try to look at each product as an actor in a scene: how it presents itself, how it occupies space, and what it communicates, even in silence. What story does it tell me?

My passion for creating comes from the unexpected. Often, the starting point—or the answer we are looking for—is right in front of us, in something that goes unnoticed. We just have to be willing to see it. When I manage to catch hold of that feeling, I try to capture it. I begin by hand, with a pen, pencil, watercolor, marker, and whatever scrap of paper is within reach—or even in the notes app on my phone. It is a free and intense stage, in which I explore the first relationships between form, proportion, and function. Loose drawing takes the mind to new places. I don’t like imposing limits on forms; I prefer to let them speak to one another.

A curve, an absence of a curve. A void or a solid. Light and shadow. A design emerges from the feelings these relationships evoke, and my work is to translate them into something physical, with presence, life, and soul. I love the idea of bringing a product into the world with a concept I have imagined, knowing that it will be completely transformed and enriched by the home it comes to inhabit. I find that beautiful.

I seek the meeting point between sensitivity and technical rigor. Giving physical expression to a feeling, while considering comfort, function, and the object’s presence in a space, is what guides my work. Volumes, dimensions, joints, and construction details bring the design closer to the realities of use and manufacturing. Dialogue with the industry and the evaluation of prototypes strengthen the product, leading to refinements and solutions that preserve the original intention. I’m drawn to simplicity and its subtle complexity.
